City schools to curb fliers sent home with kids
Top Headlines School officials say a proliferation of requests to send fliers home with pupils has caused them to propose a policy restricting notices that can be posted or distributed in school. The school committee's policy subcommittee has proposed a policy that would tightly limit the types of material that could be distributed, banning commercial or profit-oriented fliers and material from groups that fail to comply with the school department's non-discrimination policy. All requests would have to be approved by the school department's central office. The proposal was tabled by the full school committee earlier this week, and could be voted on later this month. One organization that need not apply under the guidelines would be the Boy Scouts of America. Subcommittee Chairwoman Jackie Romaniecki said requests from the Scouts would not be approved because the organization discriminates against people with alternative lifestyles. School department Director of Teaching and Learning Excellence Carol Martin said concerns have been raised at the school level about the swelling number of fliers and advertisements being sent to schools for distribution to students.

They are trading in a PROVEN organization that has built character in thousands of men, for a culture of homosexual approval and endorsement. This is the Oprahfication of America. Thanks alot, you are destroying the future!! " or
