However, senior No. 1 singles player James Bensson was extended to three sets for the first time this season, Tim Flynn was forced into winning a first set tiebreaker and the No. 2 doubles team was stretched to three sets as well in the 5-0 victory. In improving to 6-8 overall, Bensson, who had beaten Nick Bernardo in Attleboro, losing just one game, was forced into taking a 6-3 third set. Flynn won a 22-game marathon at No. 2 singles, while Derek Goulet took his No. 3 singles match in straight sets without losing a game. "We ourselves in position of getting another shot at making the tournament," said AHS coach Russ Severs, whose Bombardiers have four matches left, including one today at Dartmouth. **Junior Nate Fuller and senior Erik Klinkhamer each won singles matches as DIGHTON-REHOBOTH defeated Bourne, 4-1, in a South Coast Conference match. Fuller captured his match at the first singles position, while Klinkhamer won his contest at second singles for the Falcons, who improved to 9-1 overall and 8-1 in the SCC. Dighton-Rehoboth will travel to Apponequet for a conference match on Monday afternoon. **The Bishop Feehan High Shamrocks kept their postseason hopes alive with a 5-0 rout of Bishop Connolly. The Shamrocks (7-4, 6-2) entertain powerhouse St. John's Monday. **The MANSFIELD High Hornets (10-5, 8-5) claimed their second 3-2 verdict of the Hockomock League season over Oliver Ames. Taking both doubles matches in straight sets and on the strength of No. 1 singles play Will Condon taking a 7-5 second set victory, the Hornets prevailed. Mansfield entertains King Philip today.
