A distance and middle distance swimmer for the Camels, MacDonald missed the first half of last season, while studying abroad at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. The international relations and economics major also earned a field research grant and continues her studies this summer in Brussels, Belgium, before returning to New London in September.
