Firm's new HQ is TI's former home

ATTLEBORO - Vertex Distribution is relocating its corporate headquarters to the Attleboro Corporate Campus, the former Attleboro home of Texas Instruments on Pleasant Street.

Vertex, which employs about 70 people in Attleboro, makes and distributes screws, clamps, washers and fasteners for the automotive industry.

Executive Vice President Mark Klosek said the move consolidates two separate locations into a single, 180,000-square-foot building.

Previously, the company had locations in Pawtucket and Taunton. The new location also provides room for expansion, Klosek said.

"This development will greatly benefit our customers," Klosek said. "We will now be able to ship our entire product line from one location."

Vertex President Mark Alperin said customers in the Northeast will benefit from reduced costs by being able to order all their components from one site.

Vertex's new address is 523 Pleasant St.

Besides Attleboro, the company has plants in Elk Grove, Ill., Houston and Arlington, Texas; Cleveland, Ohio; Lawrenceville, Ga.; Chatsworth, Calif.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Tampa, Fla.
