Break-in suspects are caught

SEEKONK - Police have arrested two suspects in a break-in of a liquor store last weekend, and one is the son of reputed mobster Frank "Bobo" Marrapese.

Video produced some leads

Surveillance cameras captured the men as they robbed Hill's Package Store on Fall River Avenue (Route 6) last Saturday.

The video shows the men trying unsuccessfully to break into the cash register before making off with about 20 cartons of cigarettes, police said.

After the tape aired on local TV news, leads started to come into the police department from the public, police added. Along with the help of the Rhode Island State Police Fugitive Task Force, police Friday arrested Dennis Bautista and Michael Marrapese, the son of "Bobo" Marrapese, in different R.I. communities.

Both men are being held at the Rhode Island State Police barracks in Lincoln, R.I.

Frank "Bobo" Marrapese grew up in Providence and became a thriving member of the Patriarca crime family during its heyday in the 1960s and 1970s.

He got out of prison in May after serving more than two decades in prison for the murder of a mob associate.
