Norton groups set meat raffle, yard sale




Norton American Legion Auxiliary Unit 222 will host a meat raffle at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 3 at 85 East Main St. The raffle will consist of 10 individual raffles. Food will be available for purchase. This event is open to the public. For more information, call 508-285-3835.

at Lions Club sale

The Norton Community Lions Club will have an indoor yard sale from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 25 at the Norton American Legion, 85 East Main St. The event will be held rain or shine.

Artist Mark William Pollock will display his photography at Epoch Assisted Living of Norton, 190 Mansfield Ave., throughout March. At the library ...

The following programs are being planned at the Norton Public Library:

Norton resident Brian Cody will sign his new self-published book, "Planting the Seed to Master the Money Tree of Knowledge," from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 at the Norton Public Library. Cody will donate 10 percent of every book sale to the library.

The Norton Public Library will host a Seuss-a-bration from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Monday, March 23. Patrons will play Dr. Seuss games, read Seuss stories and watch Seuss movies. Admission is free.

The Norton Public Library will host a "Surprise Endings" drop-in family storytime at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 25. There will be surprising stories and activities. Admission is free.

Beyond Books, an interactive storytelling time with puppets, music and props for ages 2 to 5, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 26 at the Norton Public Library. Admission is free.

Church reaching out to unemployed residents

Trinitarian Congregational Church has a group to provide the community of Norton a place for persons recently unemployed or people seeking better employment a place to meet. The group is open to all, including employers seeking employees. This is an open environment to share and exchange employment information, learn and practice interview techniques, resume reviews, networking and general support for people seeking employment in these difficult times.

The group meets each week from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Tuesdays. For information, call Bill Lippincott at 508-285-5418.
